After a campaign has been scheduled and sent out, you can view how well received the campaign has been, in terms of key engagement statistics such as the Open Rate and the Click Through Rate.
To access your campaign reports, you need to do the following:
- Go to the “Campaigns” on the top menu.
- Select “reports” from the dropdown.
All of your campaigns will be listed out in reverse chronological order in the “Results” section, along with the high level statistics relating to how many emails were sent, opened and clicked as part of each campaign.
Searching for a Campaign Report
Above the “Results” section, you will find fine a “Search” option, which allows you to find and view the campaigns that you are interested in.
Through Search, you can view reports that only relate to particular lists, messages, users, delivery size, date or day of the week.
Once you have entered all your search criteria, click on the “Search” button and the relevant reports will be displayed in the “Reports” section.
In the example above, we have searched for campaigns relating to messages containing “Reminder” in their name.
In order to view your report, click the “view report” button to the right hand side of each campaign’s high level statistics.
At the top of the page is a summary of the report, similar to how it is shown in the results of your search. Below this is a series of tables and charts, containing in depth analysis relating to your campaign.
The Summary Table contains key information on the number of emails that were opened, received, as well as not received or emails that may have bounced. All numbers are also shown as a percentage of the total.
Next to any of the numbers in the Summary table, click the details button to view the email addresses of the recipients who carried out that action e.g. opened the email.
Where, as part of the initial campaign, you have scheduled a resend to non-opens, you will see a summary the campaign within the initial email campaign report, where you can edit, or cancel the campaign. Reports for this resend can also be accessed here after it has completed.
Where you hadn't pre-scheduled a resend to non-opens, you can do so by clicking the “create resend” button.
When creating your resend to non-opens, you will need to set a new subject line (something that you feel will appeal to people more than the previous subject line did), and select when you would like the resend to be scheduled.
Once you have set your subject line and scheduling, click “Save”.
As you scroll further down the report, you will be able to view:
- Breakdown by device type
- Breakdown by geo-location
- Response breakdown
In the Response breakdown, you will be able to see a breakdown of the different levels of response, including the number of click throughs, and therefore the click through rate as a percentage of those who opened the email.
You can also view a heat map of exactly where in the email the recipient has clicked, by clicking the “See heat map” button.
Overlaid on the email’s heat map you will see details about the links which were clicked. The first value in the square brackets is the rating for the link, being the most popular. The following two values are the amount of unique clicks (number of individual recipients who clicked), followed by the amount of repeat clicks by those people.
If you scroll further down the report beyond the response breakdown, you will be able to view:
- Response timeline - This shows how the recipients have interacted with the campaign in the hours/days after the message was sent out.
You can also export your entire campaign report by clicking the “export as PDF” button.
