By default, your automated emails will send instantly at the point of pre-registration, check-in or registration on the day of your event (providing you are connected to a strong source of wi-fi).
However, you can also choose to set up your autoemails to be dispatched at a particular time, or relative time, either before an event (guestlist events only), or after an event.
If you would like Timed Triggers to be made accessible on your account, please contact your account manager.
Sending a Timed Trigger email before an event is a great way of reminding delegates on the guestlist of the event’s date, time, venue and agenda. After an event a timed trigger is a great way of sending follow-up correspondence and feedback surveys etc.
You will first need to create your email in the communications platform, and a guide on how to do that can be found here.
Once you have created the email you will have to to create an email automation (this makes the email visible in Integrate Events). To find out how to do this, please follow this link.
Pre-event Timed Triggers (Guestlist events only)
Once you have created your email and set up the automation, you will need to attach it to your event. To do this you need to do the following:
- Go into the Integrate Events (formerly Akkroo) Dashboard and select the event you have created
- Select the Send Emails box
- Select Add New and choose the Pre-event RMP Connect option
- Select the date and time at which you would like your autoemail to be sent before your event takes place
- In the dropdown underneath the date/time picker, choose the relevant email and click Save Changes
- If you decide that you want to remove this Timed Trigger, you can do so by clicking Remove Integration
Please note, pre-event Timed Triggers will only be sent to delegates on the guestlist who have pre-registered via webform, as opposed to via spreadsheet upload.
Post Event Timed Triggers
- Go into the Integrate Events Dashboard and select the event you have created
- Select the Send Emails box
- Select Add New and choose the RMP Connect option
By default, the autoemail will be set to Send instantly. However, by opening up the dropdown, you can select a time relative to the Registration taking place for the autoemail to be sent out (e.g. 1 day after signing up).
Alternatively, you can pick a date/time for the autoemail to be sent by selecting Send email at a specific time, and using the date/time picker to choose exactly when you would like the autoemail to be sent.
In the dropdown underneath the date/time picker, choose the relevant email and click Save Changes.
