About Checking-in Students
For events where you have asked students to pre-register ahead of time (e.g. presentation or a webinar), you may want to check students in on the day of the event to have a record of who and how many students attended, and send relevant auto and follow-up emails.
In order to do this, you need to take a check-in form to the day of the event. Check out this article as a reminder of how to create events.
Students will first be asked if they pre-registered for the event:
- If they selected “Yes”, they will be asked to enter their email address and this will be matched up with their pre-registration. This means they don’t have to repeat entering all their data.
- If they select “No”, they will be asked to fill in the full data capture form. They will be marked as attending the event and ensures you get a full data set from all students.
We’d recommend taking this form as a QR code to events. This allows students to access the form on their own devices which means less queues and a check-in process. You can find a reminder of how to create QR codes here. Alternatively, you could include a link to this form in your reminder emails prior to the event.
Once a student has completed this process they will receive an auto-email (reminder of how to attach auto-emails to forms here) and you’ll be able to see how many students attended the event in the Talent Pool.
