You may want to search for an individual contact to check their opt-in status or to see which campaigns they engaged with.
How to search for an individual contact
Searching for an individual contact from the Home page or the Lists page follows the same process, you just need to do the following:
- While on the Home page, scroll down to User Search
- Type in the user's email address and hit enter
- If you don't know the user's full details you can still enter their name in the User Search, hit enter and then you will be presented with a filter for advanced search
- The advanced search filter allows for more flexible search results such as: search 'Partial Match', by 'First Name' and various other filters
Search within specific lists
You can also search for individual contacts, within specific lists, by following the steps below:
- Go to the Lists page
- Select the relevant contact list
- Select the blue number to left of Active Users
- You can search an email address in the same way as above or if you apply the advanced search filter, you can choose to include users who have opted-out, etc.
View individual users details:
- Remaining within the same search, you may wish to view the users details
- Start by selecting their email address
- You will then be able to check an Overview of their contact details, Email Delivery & Engagement and any Tags associated with them, etc.
Set Global Suppression:
- To set Global Suppression for a user (opting them out of email contact, in other words), start by selecting the Email Preferences tab
- Select the blue Set Global Suppression button
- Select OK
- You can undo this by selecting Remove Global Suppression button and then OK
- It is also possible to set Global Suppression directly from the Lists tab:
- Select the Global Suppressions box to the top left of the screen
- Select the blue Add an Email Address button to the right of the screen
- Enter the email address and press Save
